## **How to install a top-screen Android head unit with CarPlay in Subaru Outback 3 (2003-2009)? (Subaru Outback 3 / Legacy 4 top display installation / Bottom OEM head unit harness wiring guide)**

### Symptoms:

When installing a top-mounted Android multimedia screen in a Subaru Outback 3 or Legacy 4 (model years 2003–2009), power, audio, and CAN-bus signal harness connections are routed through the original lower stereo unit rather than plugging directly into the rear of the upper screen module.

### Solution:

Please note the photo: the connection is made to the lower unit of the factory head unit.
